British military aircraft will continue to patrol over Poland until the end of 2025, after the UK government extended its participation in the Eastern Sentry mission. This was announced by Defense Minister John Healy, quoted by „Reuters“, reports News.bg.
According to him, along with the extension of the mission, Britain will also increase the production of drones for the needs of the Ukrainian army. Minister Healy will take part in the upcoming meeting of NATO defense ministers, which will be held in Brussels.
The decision to extend the mission comes after the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones, which caused serious concern within the alliance.
