Eleven people have died in a plane crash in Kenya, including eight Hungarian citizens and two Germans, DPA reported, BTA reported.
The airline operating the flights, "Mombasa Air Safari", confirmed that the eleventh deceased was the plane's Kenyan pilot.
The small plane crashed in the coastal county of Kwale, about 40 kilometers from the city of Mombasa, while flying to the "Masai Mara" national reserve, the Kenyan civil aviation authority said. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
"Mombasa Air Safari" is a company that specializes in transporting tourists between the sandy beaches of Kenya's east coast and safari destinations in the northern parts of the country. A common destination on these trips is the "Masai Mara" national park, DPA notes.
