The latest Russian systems „Poseidon“ and „Burevestnik“, which have no analogues anywhere in the world, are guaranteed to ensure Russia's security for decades to come. This opinion was expressed by military expert Andrei Marochko to TASS.

„Currently, the defense capabilities of the Russian Federation are at a very high level, and the latest developments of „Burevestnik“ and „Poseidon“, which were tested yesterday and announced by our Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin, make the security of our country simply indisputable for decades to come, since at the moment, even in the near future, no other country in the world has similar developments or products with such tactical and technical characteristics“, said he.

The military expert added that these Russian systems have unique properties, such as the ability to evade all Western countermeasure systems, including those currently under development. “As far as I understand, they also have some other characteristics of the strike component, which essentially bring these modern developments to a new level. It is not surprising that our Supreme Commander-in-Chief asked the Ministry of Defense to determine what class this type of ammunition should be included in, because at the moment it cannot be determined according to the previous system“, said Marochko.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia had successfully tested the “Poseidon“ unmanned underwater vehicle with a nuclear power plant. According to the head of state, it is far more powerful than the advanced intercontinental ballistic missile “Sarmat“.

Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of Russian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to the head of state on the completion of tests of the Burevestnik unlimited-range cruise missile, which during the test on October 21 spent approximately 15 hours in the air and covered a distance of 14,000 km.
