Iran seeks peace, but cannot be forced to give up its nuclear program, said the country's President Massoud Pezeshkian, quoted by Reuters.
He stressed that Tehran is ready to negotiate within international frameworks, but not if someone tells Iran that it cannot have a nuclear program or the right to defend itself with missiles, because otherwise the country will be bombed.
Iran has repeatedly rejected the possibility of negotiations on its defense capabilities, including its missile program, as well as the idea of giving up any uranium enrichment on its soil.
We want to live in this world in peace and security, but not to be humiliated, Pezeshkian said. According to him, it is unacceptable for other countries to impose whatever they want on Iran, and for Tehran to simply obey.
