US President Donald Trump said he would pardon former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez, who is serving a 45-year sentence in a US prison for drug trafficking and other crimes, the agencies reported.
In a post on the social network "Trump Social", the US leader reiterated his support for Honduran presidential candidate Nasri Asfura from the conservative National Party of Honduras, adding that "if he doesn't win, the US won't waste its money".
