Representatives of the nationalist opposition in the Romanian parliament will file a vote of no confidence in the government of Ilie Bologian on December 5, said Dorin Petrea, leader of the parliamentary group "Peace - Romania First".

“This is a government of disaster“, he said, quoted by Radio Romania. “There are no reforms in the country, only taxes, taxes, taxes...“ According to Petrea, 119 parliamentary signatures have already been collected in support of the proposal, and 116 are needed for its inclusion on the agenda. He said that for the first time in the history of the parliament, all nationalist forces “have come together under one flag“.

“The Romanian people deserve more than empty promises and policies that lead them to poverty“, the proposal says. “Romanians deserve a government that serves the national interest, not the convenience of politicians or the interests of foreign businesses.“

According to local observers, the opposition has virtually no chance of overthrowing the government because the ruling coalition has an overwhelming majority in parliament.

The nationalist “Peace - Romania First“ faction has 11 members. Romania is governed by a diverse coalition of parties, including the center-left Social Democratic Party, the center-right National Liberal Party, the right-wing Save Romania Union and the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania.
