Out of prudence: Photo of Trump with women in Epstein case removed, then reinstated - 1

A photo of US President Donald Trump has been removed from the Justice Department's files on the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein “out of prudence“, the Justice Department's press service reported on its X page.

“Out of prudence, the Justice Department has temporarily removed the image for further review. After a review, it was determined that there was no evidence that the photo depicted any of Epstein's victims, and it has been reinstated without any changes or censorship,“ the statement said.

According to Bloomberg, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said the photo shows women who may have been victims Epstein.

“So, after the release, we learned that there were concerns about these women and the fact that we released that photo. That's why we removed it. It has nothing to do with President Trump,“ Blanche added.

The top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin, told CNN that the U.S. administration is “hiding things that Donald Trump, for whatever reason, doesn't want to be made public“.

Blanche denied the accusation, promising that nothing related to Trump would be hidden from the documents.

“If President Trump is mentioned, if we have photos of President Trump or anyone else, they will, of course, be released, except for any victims or survivors that we identify,“ the deputy attorney general said.
