Lebanese Shiite group "Hezbollah", which is backed by Iran, reported that it had fired dozens of Katyusha missiles; on targets in Northern Israel, reported DPA and BTA.

The Israeli military confirmed that it had recorded about 50 rockets fired from Lebanon. According to Israel's army, there were no casualties in the strikes.

In today's statement "Hezbollah" reported that "in response to an Israeli night attack on Hermal in eastern Lebanon, militants bombarded dozens of Katyusha rockets; the headquarters of the artillery regiment and the armored brigade of the Israeli 210th Golan Division in the "Yardun" barracks.

In the Israeli attack in an area near the border with Syria, five people were killed, reported the non-governmental organization the Syrian Center for Monitoring Human Rights.

According to an unnamed source from the Lebanese security services, two commanders of "Hezbollah" are among those killed, DPA notes.
