Volodymyr Zelensky: We hit more than 30 Russian oil refineries and warehouses - 1

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine struck more than 30 Russian oil processing and storage facilities, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

This year, the Ukrainian military has stepped up attacks on Russian oil infrastructure, seeking to cut off oil supplies to the Russian military and limit Moscow's revenue to finance its war against Ukraine.

"More than 30 oil refineries, terminals and oil warehouses of the terrorist state were hit," Zelensky told officers of the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) involved in the attacks. He did not provide further details or specify a time frame.

For the strikes, Ukraine used its long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, developed by both military intelligence and the SSU.

"For SSU drones, the distance of 1,500 km is no longer a problem," Zelensky said, apparently referring to the May 9 strike, when an attack was carried out on a major oil refinery in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan.

In the latest such attack, drones hit four oil refineries last Friday, including the one in Ilski in the Krasnodar region - one of the biggest fuel producers in southern Russia, Reuters notes.
