The Russian Foreign Ministry has banned 92 American citizens to enter the country because of Washington's Russophobic position. This was reported by the Reuters agency.
The list published on Telegram includes 14 employees of the Wall Street Journal, five journalists from the New York Times and four from the Washington Post, lawyers and heads of key military-industrial firms.
The war in Ukraine has caused the sharpest crisis in relations between Moscow and Washington since the Cold War.
The Russian Foreign Ministry clarifies that the list targets editorial staff and reporters from "leading liberal-globalist outlets" involved in the production and dissemination of fake news about the Russian armed forces.
The department adds that the ban is a response to the "Russophobic course" of the Joe Biden administration, a key part of which is wide-ranging sanctions against Russian politicians, business figures, scientists and journalists.
