Zelensky warns: Ukraine will hold accountable those who help Russia - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in the traditional in his video message that his nation will hold accountable those who help Russia, incite or prolong its war, quoted by News.bg

"I want to say to everyone in the world who still wants to help Putin, no matter in what way, that we will do everything in our power not only to protect our country and people, but also to consolidate a powerful response from the world against those who help Russia or incite and continue the war," Zelensky added.

We remind you that today both the US and Great Britain, as well as EU countries, imposed new sanctions against individuals and legal entities registered in Iran, who are believed to have supplied Russia with short-range ballistic missiles.

Meanwhile, it became clear that after Iran's deliveries of ballistic missiles to Russia, the US does not exclude the possibility of allowing Ukraine to use American missiles for pre-emptive strikes on Russian territory.

In his comment, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken specified that it will first have to be clarified whether Ukrainian military personnel can use the missiles in question. If not, it will require training.

In the second place is the question of whether they can support them technically, and in the third, last place, is the question of whether providing the American missiles is part of a general strategy to achieve clearly defined goals.

Zelensky again wants permission to use Western weapons for strikes on Russian territory.

Also today it became clear that compared to 2023, in this year Ukraine has doubled the production of weapons. This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

"In 2023, arms production in Ukraine increased threefold, and in the first eight months of 2024 we increased it two more times," Shmigal pointed out.

In addition, Kyiv plans to produce more than 1 million drones by the end of 2024, added the Ukrainian prime minister.

We remind you that last night the Russian air defense neutralized nearly 150 drones, half of them over the Bryansk region, and 20 near Moscow.
