Russia will step by step restore everything destroyed in the new and border regions and will continue to provide the necessary assistance to local farmers as a priority, said President Vladimir Putin in an address to farmers on the occasion of their professional holiday, RIA Novosti reported.
„As a priority, we will continue to provide you with the necessary assistance, we will certainly restore and rebuild everything that was destroyed and damaged, and, of course, we will create conditions for the realization of the rich agricultural potential of our historical territories united with Russia,”, Putin said in his address to the farmers on the occasion of their professional holiday.
The President especially thanked for the work of the farmers in the new and border areas.
„Despite all the trials, you work with complete dedication, do your job conscientiously, such dedication and courage deserve the deepest respect”, Putin said.
The head of state also indicated that Russian farmers annually harvest more than 100 million tons of grain, which is a good indicator of the sustainability of the local agricultural industry, and overall agricultural production has increased by more than 30 percent over the past 10 years.

„Today, our agricultural producers reliably supply the domestic market with all major types of local products, due to their quality, which are in demand both at home and abroad,” added the president.
The Day of Agricultural and Manufacturing Workers is celebrated in Russia every second Sunday of October.
