A Philadelphia judge ordered billionaire Elon Musk to appear in court on hearing in connection with the fact that he distributed one million euros each to registered voters in the so-called swing states of the United States, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

Prosecutors from Philadelphia spoke out against Musk's initiative to give away millions through a lottery, and a lawsuit was reached. The city's attorney's office called the giveaway by the political action committee founded by Musk an “illegal lottery” that lured Pennsylvanians into sharing personal information.
Musk promised to give $1 million each day to a registered voter who also signed his online petition for free speech and the right to bear arms. Legal experts consulted by Reuters last week were divided on whether the cash giveaway violated federal laws that make it a crime to pay or offer to pay a person to register to vote.
Musk supports Trump's presidential bid.
US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill organized their last Halloween party at the White House, the Associated Press reported, citing BTA.

According to US media, during a rally to mobilize voters, Biden called Trump voters "garbage" before taking back his words. That complicates the task of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Biden's administration provided clarifications regarding his statement.
Trump, however, criticized the words attributed to the president and said that "the Democrat has finally said what he thinks about Trumpists". Then Trump summoned members of the media to a campaign event in Wisconsin and appeared before them on a garbage truck and wearing a bright orange reflective jacket worn by sanitation workers.
"What do you think of my garbage truck? It's in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden," Trump said.
Trump tried to turn the situation in his favor, but the scandal with the word "garbage" started from his rally in New York, where comedian Tony Hinchliffe called the US territory of Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage". Trump distanced himself from these words.
White House spokeswoman Karin-Jean-Pierre said Biden meant to criticize that hate-filled rhetoric when he talked about "garbage." He did not want to define Trump's supporters with this epithet, she explained.
Kamala Harris, for her part, assured that she strongly disagrees with any criticism of people based on who they will vote for. She stated this in response to a question from journalists about Biden's alleged words.
