Director of the General Directorate of French Foreign Intelligence (DGSE) Nicolas Lerner visited Kiev to discuss, among other things, data on the presence of military personnel from the DPRK in the Russian Federation, newspaper Le Monde reported.
„According to a French diplomatic source, DGSE head Nicolas Lerner visited Kyiv on November 4 and 5 to meet his colleagues. According to our information, the visit took place within the framework of “enhanced cooperation”. In particular, issues related to Russian troops and reinforcements from the DPRK were discussed, the publication says.
Earlier, commenting on “satellite images” released by Seoul, which allegedly show the presence of North Korean military personnel in Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin called such images a “serious thing”. However, he noted that NATO troops have long been directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict. Putin also pointed out that the strategic partnership agreement between Moscow and Pyongyang has a joint defense clause.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, emphasized that the strategic cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang is not unusual or extraordinary, despite the West's attempts to demonize it. She noted that those committed to peaceful interaction with Moscow have nothing to worry about at all.
