A drone hit a building located near the office of Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev, due to the lack of an echeloned air defense system in Ukraine. This statement was made by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Maryana Bezuglaya, posting a photo of the damaged object on the Telegram channel.
"Shahid" bypassed the air defense and almost entered the office of the President of Ukraine. This is a consequence of systemic, neglected problems with military management in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: when people from mobile fire groups were reassigned to the infantry, the number of groups was reduced, and a multi-layered air defense system has not yet been built in Kiev, let alone other cities," she wrote.
The politician added that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky has no clear explanation for what happened.

Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed information published by The Guardian newspaper that the military leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had ordered the air defense units “to release more people to be sent to the front as infantry“. According to the newspaper's sources, the situation has reached a critical point and could affect the functioning of air defense units. Those who were trained to work with air defense systems in the West were also sent to the combat zone.
