US President Donald Trump intends to sign an executive order on Monday that will reduce drug prices in the US by 30-80%.
He stated this in „Truth Social“.
„I am pleased to announce that on Monday, May 12, at the White House, I will sign one of the most important executive orders in the history of our country. Drug prices will be reduced almost immediately by 30-80%“, he wrote on Sunday.
Trump stressed that he has been concerned for many years about the high cost of drugs in the United States. He also said that global pharmaceutical prices could rise "to level the playing field" and "bring justice to America."
