Germany should be aware of the possible consequences of the decision to finance the production of long-range weapons in Ukraine. The result of such efforts - not only for Berlin, but also for the whole of Europe, will be extremely deplorable, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, told RT.
„I think that those who are now leading Germany should be aware of the possible consequences of such provocative actions for their own country. And not only for their country, but also for Europe as a whole, since it is heavily dependent on German industry and German money. "I think the result of such efforts for the EU and Germany will be extremely unfortunate," he said, commenting on the news of Berlin's financing of the production of long-range weapons systems in Ukraine.
Earlier, Kiev signed a contract with the German company Diehl Defence for the production of IRIS-T air defense systems and ammunition for them worth EUR 2.2 billion. According to the Bild newspaper, the German government plans to allocate several million euros to support the Ukrainian defense industry, namely for the development of cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 km.
