Donald Trump: America is fully prepared for a nuclear war with Russia - 1

American President Donald Trump said that the United States is fully prepared for a possible nuclear war with the Russian Federation. The US President emphasized that America will defend its people, especially when Russia makes threats. He believes that in the case of the Russian Federation it is "better to prepare for everything in advance". Trump commented on this, talking to journalists on the lawn near the White House, writes Clash Report, quoted by Focus.

One of the correspondents asks Trump about the nuclear submarines that the United States has sent to the relevant regions, to which Trump replies that he did so because a threat was made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Trump explains that he seeks to act cautiously and preventively. At the same time, he made it clear that America is ready for a nuclear conflict with Russia and will defend its people.

"A threat was made and we considered it incorrect. That's why I have to be cautious. And I'm doing it for the security of our people. A threat was made by the former president of Russia“, Trump commented.

Trump emphasizes that the United States assessed Dmitry Medvedev's latest statement as a threat. He immediately added that America is ready for a nuclear war with Russia.

Trump's statement is the first time that the aggressive statements of the former Russian president and prime minister, who has previously made veiled nuclear threats on several occasions, have provoked a specific response from the United States. They were previously dismissed, in particular by Trump himself, as statements by a person who has no influence on the Kremlin's decisions.

On Thursday, Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio reacted in a similar way to Medvedev's statements, emphasizing that Medvedev is "not a decision-maker" and is not involved in negotiations with the United States.

"But on the other hand, of course, he once held this position and still serves in the government, and his words will have an impact, as a kind of provocation", Rubio commented in an interview with Fox.
