The Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin arrived on an official visit to China at the head of the Russian parliamentary delegation at the invitation of the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Ludzi.
As part of the visit, Volodin has several meetings planned, as well as the 10th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission for Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National People's Congress of China, the press service of the State Duma reported.
It is planned to discuss issues of developing interparliamentary cooperation between Russia and China, as well as strengthening cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, security, tourism, culture, education, science and others.
As later Volodin noted in Max that the meeting's agenda also includes countering sanctions pressure and external interference, expanding trade and economic ties, defending historical truth, and youth exchanges to strengthen humanitarian cooperation.
“Our country's relations with China are built on the principles of friendship and trust, mutually beneficial cooperation and non-interference in the affairs of sovereign states, as well as the absence of double standards,“ Volodin wrote.
