Maria Zakharova on Alla Pugacheva's interview: A bazaar of hypocrisy - 1

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the interview with singer Alla Pugacheva a "bazaar of hypocrisy", TASS reports, quoted by Focus.

"There is a work [the name of which] later became a common phrase - "Vanity Fair". And this is a bazaar of hypocrisy," Zakharova said.

Alla Pugacheva commented on her departure from Russia in an interview with journalist Katerina Gordeeva. After the war in Ukraine began, Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) and Pugacheva left Russia and went to Israel.

According to Pugacheva, she is indeed called a "traitor to Russia", but she does not consider herself such and does not believe that she "escaped" the country, as is sometimes written about her.

"You must leave the stage and even the political arena in time. And what have I betrayed? I have long stated that I can leave the Motherland only in one case - if the Motherland betrays me. It betrayed me, but millions of fans do not betray me," she says in the interview.
