Rumen Radev's visit to Saudi Arabia ends with a conversation with the Minister of Economy and Planning

On the last day of his visit to Saudi Arabia, President Rumen Radev will talk with the Minister of Economy and Planning of the kingdom, BNR reported.

The Head of State is in Riyadh at the invitation of the country's Crown Prince to participate in the international forum "Future Investment Initiative".

President Rumen Radev will meet with the manager of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, Yasir Al-Rumayyan. The fund is one of the largest in the world and has assets of over 620 billion dollars. Last year, foreign investments in Saudi Arabia increased by 24 percent, reaching nearly 32 billion dollars. A large part of the investments are no longer related to oil.

The possibilities for cooperation between Sofia and Riyadh will be a leading topic in the president's bilateral meetings today.

"Saudi Arabia is a leading political and economic factor in the Middle East region with growing global influence and is our key partner in the Persian Gulf region. There are many areas in which we can cooperate. The traditional ones - economy, trade, investments, education, culture, pharmacy. Saudi Arabia is establishing itself as a center for innovation, for scientific research. These are areas in which Bulgaria has the potential to offer partnership," Radev pointed out.

At the international economic meeting in Riyadh, data was presented, according to which 87 percent of investors in the world plan to increase their investments in artificial intelligence in the next two years. The Middle East, India and Southeast Asia are among the most likely beneficiaries.
