The MP from "Vazrazhdane" Tsveta Rangelova commented in the studio of "Panorama" on the first actions of the caretaker government, stating that she was "shocked" by what was happening.
"We have a deputy prime minister who distances himself from all possible political entities that are participants in this caretaker government. It was expressed that they got together, as if all the ministers had met by chance, got together and decided to form a cabinet," she said.
According to her, the choice of Andrey Gyurov was the lesser evil. However, she described the start of the cabinet as a failure:
"What was proposed by the cabinet composition by Prime Minister Gyurov, within just 24 hours you saw what a false start it was."
Rangelova gave the example of the resignation after the oath and allegations of hidden information by a deputy prime minister:
"Excuse me, but this is, to put it mildly, frivolous and a joke to Bulgarian citizens, who really had high expectations of this cabinet."
Regarding the non-governmental sector, Rangelova commented:
"A Minister of Justice should come from the private sector, from the NGO sector, NGOs are to blame for this situation that led to Petrohan."
And she added:
"These foundations that allowed to duplicate names, so as to mislead both the public and state institutions that they have something to do with state policy, in practice the executive branch has long since begun to delegate extremely broad powers to them."
When asked whether her party is worried about possible competition with President Rumen Radev, she replied:
"Mr. Radev is categorically Euro-Atlantic, while the positions of "Vazrazhdane" are in the exact opposite direction. Mr. Radev supported sending aid to Ukraine, for sanctions against Russia, in complete contradiction to the policy and will of the voters of "Vazrazhdane".
Rangelova also touched on the topic of "Petrohan", stating that she had received information according to which the Minister of Interior had requested the resignations of those investigating the case and "this is a precedent."
When asked by BNT, the press center of the Ministry of Interior stated that the information about requested resignations was not true.
