Yordan Ivanov from "Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria" commented in the studio of "Panorama" on the topic of the caretaker government, rejecting the claims that it is related to his political power.

"The cabinet is Gyurov's, appointed by Yotova. It's that simple. This cabinet is short, but has a critically important mandate with huge public expectations for holding fair elections," said Ivanov.

He categorically denied that his party had offered personnel:

"I am the deputy chairman of "Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria". Never, for any reason, has anyone from our party spoken to Mr. Gyurov or submitted names for appointment to the caretaker cabinet."

According to him, the focus should be on the tasks facing the government:

"More important are the tasks facing this caretaker cabinet. Namely, to hold fair elections, to stop the controlled and bought vote, to stop the control of the vote through social benefits, to stop the control of the vote through the distribution of wood, something that forestry companies have been doing for a very long time."

In response to a question about a possible future coalition with the president, he stated:

"From the point of view of Mr. Radev's positions as head of state, our assessment of our political force is that they are not just worrying, they are dangerous for the future of Bulgaria. They are at odds with our coordinate system for conducting foreign policy."

Ivanov also warned of a broader political risk:

"There is a real risk that for the first time in the modern history of Bulgaria in the 52nd National Assembly, the European majority will be lost. I am not talking about the ruling majority. I am talking about the European majority."

He stressed that compromise is possible, but not on key issues:

"Compromise is not a dirty word. But we cannot compromise with the geopolitical orientation of the country, with national security and with fiscal stability."

On the topic of the "Petrohan" case, Ivanov described the allegations of ties to his party as "a monstrous mockery of the memory of the victims" and "a monstrous disrespect for the victims' relatives". We are not hiding anything and we want full publicity about everything that happened there, he added.
