Quarantine classes from whooping cough are below 0.3 percent for the whole country and are less than 100, we work very well together with the Ministry of Health. We have jointly prepared guidance to schools that may be disseminated by the Regional Health Inspectorates (RHIs) if there is a declared outbreak of whooping cough. This was said by the Acting Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Galin Tsokov, before the forum for the presentation of the first global report of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the socio-emotional skills of 15-year-old students.

On the occasion of the quarantined classes, the statistics are such that they are for the entire school system - from preparatory groups in schools to the 12th grade, the minister explained.

He stated that the schools work in very good coordination with the relevant RZI and the Ministry of Education and Science.

The coming days off and the vacation will contribute to reducing the number of people sick with whooping cough, as well as the tension in society, and parents and students will be calm, Minister Galin Tsokov expressed confidence. He noted that students should focus on the state-leaving exams and the national external assessment that are coming up.
