During the powerful storm on Wednesday, 20 to 90 liters fell in Sofia per square meter, with the monthly norm being 80 liters. He commented on this on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria” climatologist Simeon Matev.
In his words, the storm was strongest in the eastern districts of the capital.
„For our climate zone, it is normal to have such rains. In recent years, precipitation with hail has not increased significantly. However, such phenomena are observed more and more often in unusual months – September, October, November and even in winter," explained the climatologist.
And he added that unstable weather awaits us again next week. According to the preliminary data, there will be more unstable weather again in the middle of next week.
