The official minister is participating in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which continues from today until May 27 in Sofia. Zapryanov is the spokesperson of the Defense and Security Committee, BTA reports.

Bulgaria is a target of Russia's hybrid aggression, we are the focus of active processes and disinformation campaigns trying to influence our internal political processes, Zapryanov said. Regarding Russia, the Bulgarian state is prepared and expects such disinformation activities in connection with the upcoming elections on June 9, and we are extremely careful, he added.
Nearly 400 parliamentarians from the 32 NATO member states and from 25 partner countries and parliamentary organizations will participate in the forum, according to the organizers.
