The election campaign for the 2 in 1 vote on June 9 is in full swing . There are still 15 days left in which the candidate MPs can win us or lose us with their messages.
20 parties and 11 coalitions participate with their candidates for the National Assembly. Out of all 6114 candidates for people's representatives, we have to decide which 240 we will send to the parliament.
In the show “This Saturday“ political analysts Georgi Harizanov and Assoc. Georgi Lozanov commented on the course of the campaign.
„The campaign is going badly because there is too much noise in it. "We deal too much with specific, often highly personalized clashes," Lozanov believes.
According to him, it is forgotten that our country is still in a period of transition to democracy.
„The question now is whether these elections will bring us more democracy or not. This should be the main motive in the choice.
My feeling is that they will not lead us to more democracy”, added Lozanov.
On the issue of campaign leaks, and in particular the latest one with the tapes of conversations between the leaders of “Continuing the Change” Harizanov commented that the recordings were classified until they appeared on the party's Facebook page.
An audio file with the voices of Asen Vassilev, Kiril Petkov, Lena Borislavova and Nikolay Denkov was first published by the “Affair“ website. The site informs that it is a party meeting during parliamentary elections in 2023.
A few hours after “We continue the change” confirmed the authenticity of the recording by uploading it to their official Facebook page.
„In the recording that they uploaded themselves, one party co-chairman keeps talking about “unofficial cash”. "I haven't listened to the other recordings and I don't intend to listen to them," Harizanov announced.
He added that in the “civilized world” political careers end after such confessions.
