Metropolitan Kyprian of Stara Zagora issued an order to the priests of the Diocese of Stara Zagora Diocese to offer prayers in support of the firefighters, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, volunteers and all , which help in the fight against the fire element. The prayers are also addressed to all those who have suffered, lost their homes and are in need of help and protection.
This was announced by the press center of the Stara Zagorje Metropolitanate.
„ In these difficult days, when thousands of acres of Bulgarian land are covered by this disaster and human lives are at risk, let us make a prayer call to the Mother of God – May the Most Holy Mother of God, the holy great martyr Marina and the holy prophet Elijah, patron of the fire fighters, intercede for us in prayer, so that God may protect our people from calamity and, through their prayers, keep us unharmed,” the bishop wrote in his district letter.
The letter was sent to the chairmen of the church boards at the temples, the abbots of the monasteries and the vicars of the bishops in the Staro Zagora diocese.
