The residents of the sub-Balkan town of Shipka will never forget the date June 13, when hail damaged the settlement. About 600 houses had broken roofs. Dozens of cars were destroyed. The hail killed animals and ruined agricultural produce. There was also damage to the golden cubes of the Shipchen Monastery.
„90% of all damaged houses were restored”, he told "Nova TV" the mayor of Shipka Vasilka Panayotova.
However, according to her, the compensation promised by the authorities in the amount of BGN 300-1000 has not yet been received by the victims.
