Many things can be done against the euro and we from "Vazrazhdane" are already doing them – we have informed our so-called partners, I have sent a letter to the prime ministers and ambassadors of European countries, in which I explain that we are in a situation that the ruling party is falsifying inflation and we want a referendum. This was stated by the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by phone from Kazan, Russia.
"The question is whether our so-called partners will agree to this violation of the law and will occupy Bulgaria, because we are returning to the Ottoman Empire with the Ottoman lira. After Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone, the National Assembly becomes meaningless, because before the budget is voted on, it must be approved by the ECB, the money is not ours and we ask them because we do not have it. Bulgaria does not print euros. If the Bulgarian government decides, for example, to increase the deficit to over 3%, more social spending and construction, the ECB says "no", because it provides the money. We cannot do anything in this situation", believes Kostadin Kostadinov.
"We are not blaming anyone, we are saying that obviously our foreign policy initiatives have yielded results. The Bulgarian political elite in our country does not control the situation domestically and internationally. Until years ago, if there was a monopoly in speaking out abroad, this is no longer the case, because "Vazrazhdane" now has a group in the European Parliament. We have contacts with foreign policy forces outside Bulgaria, which are our partners. "Vazrazhdane" there is a European party headed by Stanislav Stoyanov," said Kostadinov.
According to him, a constitutional coup was made in Bulgaria and his party told him that "Bulgaria is ruled by a criminal gang and justifies its activities with domestic political loyalty":
"It is obvious that the political environment in our country is starting to change. Our country has not had national sovereignty since 1941, it has not had it since 1944 from the Soviet Union, and now it has not had it from the USA. There must be a referendum, and that is why we are glad that the president listened to the calls of "Vazrazhdane" for a referendum."
According to Kostadinov, every form of state sovereignty has 5 state sectors - defense, food, economic, political - to make decisions on its own without foreign interference and financial – own currency.
"We were deprived of 4 of these 5 sovereignties – only 20% of food is Bulgarian. Our only form is financial sovereignty, one of the most stable in the world. Our currency is not tied, we simply have a reserve currency – the euro. Our currency is a fixed, not a floating exchange rate, set by the ECB and the BNB, they have agreed that the exchange rate will be the same. This links the Bulgarian lev to the euro. If we decide tomorrow, we can choose another world currency with a stable role – for example, the US dollar, Swiss franc, Japanese yen, British pound", claims Kostadinov.
On the reunion of "Vazrazhdane" on May 16 at the National Palace of Culture and the announcement of a boycott of the public BNR and BNT, Nova TV and bTV he said:
"Since the beginning of the year, our participation in "Panorama" has been twice, and PP-DB has 13 out of 14 possible shows, and how many more are there, supposedly as citizen analysts? On the air of BNR you have the right to do it, you are journalists, you make judgments, but you cannot explain with our one participation in a month that we are given the right to speak. We may have this right, but we are not equal."
For the third vote of no confidence, Kostadinov defined "Velichy" as unprepared, criticized them for not having statements and introduced laws and pointed out that landfills are the competence of local authorities.
