Mass checks on main roads and highways throughout the country are carried out by employees of the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration“. The intensified control is joint between several institutions, and the subjects of the checks are drivers of heavy trucks and buses carrying passengers.

“For the last week, 15 acts of administrative violations have been written on the territory of the Blagoevgrad regional department, which found 21 violations. They are diverse – from improper use of a tachograph, technical malfunctions, we also have a striking case of a Turkish driver who drove for more than 17 hours and rested for less than 3 hours – about 2 hours and 40 minutes“, explained the head of the regional department “Automobile Administration“ – Blagoevgrad, Angel Yanchev.

The Turkish driver has been ordered to use his vacation as he should. Yanchev pointed out that drivers using foreign cards – of other drivers have also been identified, for whom acts of administrative violations have also been drawn up.

Since the beginning of the year, five cases of unregulated transportation of passengers to Germany, France and Great Britain have been identified.

Angel Yanchev commented that unsecured or incorrectly distributed cargo in heavy trucks is a prerequisite for road accidents. He called on drivers to be tolerant and to comply with road traffic rules.
