The next vote of no confidence was rejected by the National Assembly. It was accompanied by a protest against the eurozone. The chairman of the UDF, Rumen Hristov, announced on “Live Day” on NOVA NEWS that the opposition is trying all sorts of tricks to sabotage the process of joining the single European currency. Now, after the fourth vote of no confidence on the topic of “Ecology”, the work of the National Assembly will again be partially blocked. He is of the opinion that historically important decisions should be made by the political class, because citizens are more easily manipulated.
Hristov explained that they are trying to spend as much time as possible on legislative activities in order to release the money under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. In this regard, he defined the completion of the composition of the Commission for Counteracting Corruption as the most important. In connection with the proposal of the Anti-Corruption Commission to elect the members by a simple majority, Rumen Hristov noted that most regulatory bodies are elected by a simple majority and given the fact that in this National Assembly the ruling party cannot gather 160 votes, it is appropriate that the election be held by 121 in order to unclog the work.
Regarding the processes in “Continuing the Change” Hristov said that Kiril Petkov's departure is not a good option because “from the outside, Kiril Petkov is more liberal, and Assen Vassilev is left-liberal”.
Among the advantages of the eurozone, Hristov highlighted the fact that all countries in the eurozone have higher income growth than the others. Our membership there will have a positive effect on income.
