The incident with the child who fell from a parachute in Nessebar caused a strong public reaction to the safety of such facilities.

Cave rescue specialist Orlin Atanasov contacted BNT and said that last year the rope of the parachute that broke was frayed.

Paraglider Sotir Lazarkov warned that such facilities should be replaced regularly in a period of between 1 and 3 years.

Long-time caver Orlin Atanasov claims that a friend of his from Pleven was with his daughter on the same facility in Nessebar last year. While flying, the father noticed that the ropes or tapes were torn.

Orlin Atanasov, member of "Cave Rescue": "And while flying, he simply took out his phone and took pictures of the individual things, including the tapes, which are so torn and this was last year. And considering that this whole thing bakes in the sun, it melts in salt water. The people who deal with this thing and the supervision they impose are subject to any criticism."

According to Orlin Atanasov, the tearing of the tapes and the child's fall means that the facility has not been maintained for many years. The caveman also showed what a real carbine should be like, which can withstand 22 kilonewtons and... similar to the one in the facility.

Orlin Atanasov, member of "Cave Rescue": "This is from the hardware store in the neighborhood... And I wonder if there were inspectors of this facility, how they allowed it to work at all."

Paraglider Sotir Lazarkov explained that it is extremely important to maintain parasailing accessories, because depreciation, especially on our Black Sea coast, is very high. He showed a mountaineering harness, to which, if two belts are attached, it becomes similar to that of parasailing. According to Lazarkov, the harness used in Nessebar was most likely not made with certified materials - threads, belts and buckles.

Sotir Lazarkov, paraglider: "After each flight, they take it off once from the person who used it. Then they put it on. And with each such action, they must carefully inspect the harness for worn areas, a seam somewhere that has started to tear slightly, a buckle that has become stuck, wearing out the belt itself."

And at the slightest doubt, according to Lazarkov, this harness should be replaced. This should be done regularly, and within a period of one to three years. The price of such a replacement is not too high.
