We have the most complaints related to "Toplofikatsiya", water shortages and protection of consumer rights, as well as the euro, said Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva in the bTV program "Litse v litse".
The common problem is that people do not know the deadlines for objections or that they have not received the invoice, as a paper document. Objections are submitted until August 31st.
Regarding the water shortage, what the Ombudsman can do is push the institutions to guarantee at least drinking water for people who are deprived of it.
The elderly are writing to the Ombudsman that they want their pensions to be recalculated right now so that they can plan their budget. The Ombudsman said that meetings with the elderly will begin on September 19, during which they will recalculate each person's pension. The first meeting will be in Dupnitsa.
"We managed to help one person who had not received his TELK pension for more than 4 months. There are huge delays in receiving TELK decisions, as well as delays in payment from the National Social Security Institute. There are problems in communication between institutions. In cooperation with the National Social Security Institute, we were able to react very quickly," Delcheva said.
She also mentioned another case - a complaint from a person who fell into the quick loan system. One of the financial institutions refused to erase his credit history. "I have assurances from the BNB that the by-laws will now be changed so that not only financial institutions, but also private individuals can request the erasure of their credit history," the ombudsman said.
"We have a woman in Sofia, whose address registration has 80 companies registered, which she does not know about. A similar case in Varna - a man complains that there are 45 companies registered in his address registration. Right now, if you know my address, where I live, you can go to the registry office and register a company at my address without any problem.
We reacted immediately, we held a meeting with the Minister of Justice. There is a bill that is in the National Assembly, so through the Ministry of Justice and through the National Assembly, we will immediately do everything possible to correct this situation," Delcheva also said.
On the topic of the deputy ombudsman, for whose position the highest candidate is Maria Filipova, Delcheva said that she will wait for the decision of the National Assembly to talk about the important topics with Filipova, and she trusts the Commission that nominated her.
