All the details about the new Volkswagen Passat Pro will appear next week during the official premiere. For now, we have to settle for a leak from China's Ministry of Industry base.
In addition to live photos, the network published some technical details about the new Passat Pro. Outwardly, it is similar to the representatives of the ID electric line, but the rear part looks unique. At the same time, each configuration, and there are several of them, gets its own distinctive elements. Only the air intake in the front bumper is available in three versions.
But the main difference is in the even longer body compared to the European station wagon. In the new Volkswagen Passat Pro, it reaches 5,006 mm in length, 58 mm more than its predecessor. The overall width of the car is 1,850 mm (+14 mm), and the height is 1,489 mm (+20 mm). The wheelbase remains the same - 2,871 mm.
The new product is closely related to the new generation European Passat station wagon: the front part of the body is the same, but the wheelbase is slightly longer (+30 mm), and the rear part has a classic sedan shape.
The engine range includes two petrol turbo engines manufactured by Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain. The power of the engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters is 160 hp, and that of the engine with a volume of 2.0 liters - 220 hp. Both are expected to work with robotic gearboxes.
