For years, Tesla and several other electric car brands have claimed that electric cars will have much lower maintenance and repair costs due to the much fewer parts compared with cars with an internal combustion engine.
Now this is a fact that was confirmed by a new study by Consumer Reports. According to him, Tesla has the lowest maintenance and repair costs of any brand
A lot of people are skeptical about this claim because Tesla is considered a premium brand, but now Consumer Reports has released real data to back it up. Consumer Reports has released its 2023 annual survey, which includes data from thousands of car owners.
The publication confirmed that Tesla's maintenance and repair costs are the lowest of any brand in the automotive industry. Comparing the total cost of owning a car from the first to the fifth year and from the sixth to the tenth, the publication finds that it is Tesla that is the brand with the lowest maintenance costs.
At the opposite end of the ranking are several German car manufacturers, namely Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. At the bottom of the ranking is Land Rover. Here is the full ranking.
