In our country, as is well known, used cars are the most widely bought. However, sales of new ones are gradually starting to grow, giving the impression that when it comes to brand new cars, Bulgarians do not buy the smallest and, respectively, the cheapest cars.
According to the traffic police statistics on new model registrations, the most sold cars are the compact class, followed by subcompact city cars and only then by those positioned in the so-called D-segment.
The data we are showing you is for the registered new passenger cars in the month of April, this year, and from them we can make a fairly accurate assessment of the preferences of Bulgarians regarding new passenger cars.

For the smallest cars, the leaders are Renault and Dacia, followed by Toyota, Citroen and Skoda. For the month of April, nearly 2,000 cars were sold in this segment, and here are the top ten and their number of sales.
In Compact cars there is another leader and it is produced by the Czech brand Skoda. The bestseller of the Czechs is followed by the offers of Toyota, Dacia, Kia and Volkswagen. Here is the top ten by model.
For the larger new cars, the D-class ones, Skoda is once again the leader, followed closely by Toyota again. Here, however, VW is not among them, and the fourth position is already for one of the premium brands, namely BMW. Here are the top 10 in this class.
