The new Ford Mondeo Sport crossover was presented in China. According to Autohome, this stylish all-terrain vehicle will be available at prices ranging from 209,800 to 229,800 yuan ($29,000 to $31,700).
The Ford Mondeo Sport should not be seen as a completely new model. This is a renamed version of the Ford Evos crossover, which is produced in China. In other countries this car is known as Taurus.
The decision to rename the car is logical, as it is based on the platform of the new fifth generation Ford Mondeo (which is not sold in Europe) and has a similar design. This 4.9 meter car has a sharp silhouette with a sloping roof and a pointed rear.
One of the main features of the interior of the Ford Mondeo Sport is the full-width head-up display. The basic equipment of the car is quite rich: 20-inch wheels, panoramic roof, climate control, adaptive cruise control, electric tailgate, heated and ventilated seats and much more.
The Ford Mondeo Sport crossover will be available with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 238 horsepower or in a hybrid version with the same gasoline engine and an electric motor developing 309 horsepower. Both variants are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only.
