Europe gets a sweet surprise: the iconic Honda Prelude is back after a 30-year absence. A production version of the Prelude Concept 2024 will be presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Although Honda hasn't released details, it's almost confirmed that the new Prelude will get a hybrid powertrain. Industry rumors suggest it will borrow proven technology from the Civic and Accord hybrids - a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle engine working in tandem with two electric motors. This eco-friendly approach fits perfectly with Honda's aggressive electrification strategy.
The upcoming presentation at Goodwood promises to be remarkable, offering a closer look at this sports coupe before it hits the road in 2025. We recall that the company first showed the revived model of the parent loan last year at time of the exhibition in Tokyo.
