Patent images of the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe have appeared online. The lower-segment C-Class sedan will replace the BMW 1 Series hatchback and debut in early 2025. This is reported by the Dutch publication Auto Week.
Like the "unit", the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe hasn't changed much on the outside and retains its characteristic wedge-shaped silhouette with a curved roof and raised rear. But the headlights, taillights and radiator grille have been changed.
The latter are made in the style of the BMW 1 Series. The new door handles also attract attention. The interior of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has not been shown, but it is known that it will be almost identical to the interior of the first series hatchback.
This means that a curved two-section display will be installed on the front panel, and the gear lever will be replaced with a joystick. The new BMW will also share engines with the "unit".
The sedan will receive 1.5-liter (170 hp) and 2.0-liter (300 hp) gasoline turbo engines, as well as 2.0-liter turbodiesels with 150 and 163 hp. All versions will be equipped with a 7-speed robot with two clutches.
