The crossover, which will go on sale next year as a 2026 model, was caught by paparazzi. Despite the camouflage with which the prototype of the crossover is covered, the main changes are visible.
The Sportage will get an all-new front end with vertical headlamps similar to those of the larger Sorento, a redesigned grille and taillights with all-new graphics. The front and rear bumpers also look different.
Photo spies didn't get a peek at the crossover's interior, but insiders say the cabin will feature a more compact dashboard and a new big-screen infotainment system.
The updated Sportage will also get a fairly expanded list of driver assistance systems and improved trim options. The range of Sportage drives is expected to be more diverse than the current one.
However, it is clear that most of the Sportage's powertrains will be hybrids, with hybrids being the most popular in the current model. The debut of the updated crossover is scheduled for the beginning of 2025.
