The BMW M8 coupe will be discontinued, and this will happen in a few days - at the beginning of 2025. Orders for the brand's largest sports cars are no longer being accepted. This is reported by the BMWBlog website.
BMW plans to fulfill the already accepted orders for the M8 Coupe in the coming weeks, after which the model will be discontinued and removed from the configurator on the German brand's website.
It should be noted that the BMW M8 convertible and the M8 Gran Coupe sedan will still be produced for some time, but soon these models will also be liquidated and no new generation of them is planned. However, the regular BMW 8 Series will remain on the assembly line.
The reason for the cancellation of the BMW M8 is the low demand for the model, dictated by its high price. It turned out that it unsuccessfully competed with the Porsche 911 and Mercedes-AMG GT. We will recall that the BMW M8 debuted in 2019.
The tuned version of the BMW 8 Series is equipped with a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine, which is available in versions with 600 and 625 hp. The more powerful version is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 305 km/h.
