PP-DB MP Vaylo Mirchev stated that “Toplofikatsiya” Sofia has accumulated debts of over 2.6 billion leva during the time of GERB and former Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova. Mirchev made the statement in response to the signal that DPS leader Delyan Peevski filed with the prosecutor's office against the current Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev and the company.
"Peevski is once again playing the role of public defender and sending signals to his prosecutor's office. Today, the target is Toplofikatsiya and Mayor Terziev", the PP-DB MP wrote in his publication.
According to Mirchev, the truth is that the company is under the umbrella of the Sofia Municipal Council, where GERB, BSP, ITN and VMRO hold a majority. It was they who changed the leadership and appointed their own people, the MP claims.
"The liabilities of over 2.6 billion leva were accumulated during the rule of GERB and Fandakova. Now Peevski is conveniently shifting the responsibility onto Terziev to cover up the failure of his GERB partners", adds Mirchev.
The PP-DB MP also criticized the statement of the MRF leader about "A State with a capital D", pointing out that according to Peevski this is a state "in which people endure crises, and he tries to write a parallel history".
Earlier that day, Delyan Peevski signaled the prosecutor's office to investigate whether the company was being deliberately led to bankruptcy, as well as the stated intention of Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev to offer the service of concession.
According to the leader of the MRF, the heating crisis in the "Druzhba 2" neighborhood is another failure of Mayor Terziev, the PP-DB and their partners from "Save Sofia".
