„Resignation of the executive director of Toplofikatsiya! Resignation of the entire management and the Supervisory Board! Resignation of the chairman of the Supervisory Board Chakalski, who has been there since the time of Fandakova!“ – insisted the chairman of the civic platform Stand Up.BG Maya Manolova.
In her words, for the last 15 years “the company has been owned by the Sofia Municipality and its plundering is being carried out with the blessing and with an umbrella stretched out by the Sofia Municipal Council – 13 years under Fandakova and 2 years under Terziev“.
Manolova emphasized that the company was brought to a catastrophic state due to “incompetent management, rigged public procurement and draining by companies at the entrance and exit“.
“The result is visible to everyone: high bills, continuous accidents, a collapsed heat transfer system and huge debts – 2.6 billion leva, of which 2.1 billion to Bulgargaz. The bill for the financial ruin is entirely on the backs of the capital's residents,“ she said.
Manolova recalled that the company's equalization accounts and invoices for this season were prepared based on an “illegal, court-revoked formula for building installation“.
We recall that Stand Up.BG helped dozens of citizens file objections to their equalization accounts for heating over the past month.
“The situation got out of control – the residents of the entire Druzhba 2 protested because of the announced unprecedented 90-day “planned“ repairs in the heating season – including until Christmas and New Year“, she also said.
According to Manolova “the executive director's justification that he only found out about the dire state of the network in Druzhba after the end of the heating season sounds cynical, given that there are over 930 complaints for 97 buildings“.
“His claim that the price of heating was understated by 30% and therefore no compensation would be paid to households without heating and hot water in the coming months is also cynical“, she added.
Manolova drew attention to the fact that “there is still no public information about which company will carry out the repairs, in what volume and at what price“.
