„Anyone who sets out to create a state with a capital „D“ eliminates the person and ends up in Belarus. The energy of society, once it is used up once, then it takes decades to renew itself. Where there is no alternative, there is nothing.“
This was pointed out by Dimitar Avramov, a political scientist on the show „Face to Face“ on bTV.
„2021 no one had heard of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, 5 months later they became the first political force. Something may appear from somewhere that we do not expect today. There are candidates for a political alternative, and there is a demand. This is indicated in addition to sociology and the numbers from the last 3 years for voter turnout. Average voter turnout for the last 25 years 3.75 million. In the last three parliamentary elections - 1 million less. This indicates that people do not see representation among these subjects“, explained Dimitar Ganev, a sociologist.
According to him, the biggest problem in the country is related to prices and this social tension should not be underestimated.
„Formally there are expectations around Radev, but in reality he has no ideas that would improve the economic situation in the country“, Avramov pointed out.
„The political battle in our country looks like a battle about who will command, not how to govern“, he added.
