Winter has knocked on the door – the Musala peak dawned with its first snow, and a video posted on the hut's page showed the beautiful white blanket. After the negative temperatures in the morning, the cloudiness in the mountain broke and decreased to mostly sunny weather, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced. Moderate to strong winds are blowing from the west-northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 11°, and at 2000 meters – around 4°.“
In the first days of October, a rainy situation will develop in the country. On Wednesday, the cloudiness will increase, but the precipitation will still be mostly light and only in isolated places, mainly in Northwestern Bulgaria and the Rila-Rhodope region. The wind will be from the west-northwest, in the Danube Plain it will be moderate. Daytime temperatures will reach 17°-22°, but in the morning it will be cool with prevailing minimums between 4° and 9°.
On Thursday it will be mostly cloudy, with widespread rain, in the mountains above 1800 meters - snow. The wind will again orient itself from the northeast and will strengthen, with it it will get colder. Daytime temperatures will be in a wide range from 6°-10° in many areas in Western Bulgaria to 16°-20° in the southeastern regions and along the Black Sea coast. The probability of significant amounts, in places in the Rila-Rhodope region and the regions in the Western Stara Planina, exceeding the monthly norms is very high.
On Friday, precipitation and cold weather will continue.
