I have been accused for a long time, and I am already a defendant. What the prosecution claims is that I gave some flash drive to an employee and on this flash drive there was information that was protected as classified information. This was commented on in the studio of "Osche ot dnia" by the deputy chairman of the PP-DB PG and co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov.
He categorically denied having given such a flash drive and explained:
"And here comes the interesting thing - as the CCP has been doing lately, pressuring and threatening witnesses, this is most likely the case. He says in his testimony that I gave him a flash drive that I did not give him. It is interesting what the prosecutor does in this case - he says that a witness said that he was given a flash drive and that is why I am bringing him to criminal liability and bringing him to court. The same prosecutor is in the case of Borisov, Goranov and Bozhkov, where Bozhkov claims that he gave Borisov and Goranov a bribe of 60 million leva. The prosecutor interrogates all three and says that one says that a bribe was given, and the others say that it was not given - word for word, I am terminating the pre-trial proceedings. The same prosecutor in two cases with similar scenarios, in one case - mine - brings it to court, in the other - terminates it."
Bozhanov also said that when he was asked for immunity, he gave it so that the case could move to court as quickly as possible. He believes that as a system, the court is still independent and in the end there will be justice.
According to him, Borislav Sarafov is not the Prosecutor General and has no right to act as such and should be replaced immediately.
When asked whether or not the Anti-Corruption Commission should be closed, Bozhidar Bozhanov replied:
"Our proposal, which has been submitted to the National Assembly, is to close the Commission for Combating Corruption, establish a Commission for Preventing Corruption and Establishing Conflicts of Interest, which would not have all these police powers, wiretapping, which Sarafov is clearly abusing."
