"This is not theater. The current situation with the government will have consequences. The question is what type of cabinet reformation will result. In the Bulgarian parliament, unfortunately, if there is a cabinet reformation, each party will shift something". This is how political scientist Rumyana Kolarova commented on the shake-up in power to BTV.
There has been a blockade in the National Assembly for the second day now. And a claim that the new formula of power will be clear by Monday, after the statement of GERB leader Boyko Borisov at the party headquarters, in which he stated that the party has no place in this government.
"It is certainly not a shake-up. What Borisov said was not dramatic. He came out to remind who is still the boss, even to himself. It's as if his power reflex has been lost in recent years. He is not in a condition to maneuver in politics anymore. He was worried. He was hardly surprised by what happened in Pazardzhik," commented political scientist Strahil Deliyski.
According to him, the ultimate goal of this government is to have a government.
"The big question here is what the public reaction to Peevski's entry into power will be and whether he will be willing to make this move. The big question is what Peevski will do. I don't think Peevski is that simple to put himself in such a position, considering that he has already been in such a position," believes Kolarova.
The only unknown is what ITN will do. BSP and MRF "New Beginning" said - we are ready for anything.
According to political scientist Deliyski, there is no risk of the government falling, at least until spring. "There is no alternative, everyone thinks that the next government will be a function of a better electoral performance", he also believes.
According to Kolarova, a future party of President Rumen Radev would hardly be a factor in this situation. The only problem that Borisov has in this case is to publicly and repeatedly say "no" to Peevski on various occasions, the political expert believes.
