"For us as a leading political force, it is very easy to raise the question of whether it is time for early elections. No, it is not time for elections. Because if the political decision is in this direction, that means elections in February. In an uncertain geopolitical environment, in a Bulgarian society poisoned by political influence, holding elections will not contribute to stable social peace", said Zhelyazkov.
Society needs to calm down, and elections are not a guarantee for this. On the other hand, predictability is needed from all sides, including the government, Zhelyazkov announced.
And he said: "The presidential elections are becoming a pledge for the geopolitical orientation of the country."
The elections in Pazardzhik are a litmus test for the fact that the coalition needs a serious conversation. This conversation started with us. Yesterday I had a conversation with the BSP and the ITN. My colleagues expressed their readiness to act responsibly and for the government to have its political support. But we must have this conversation so that GERB does not bear the responsibility alone, he said.
