"With or without Borisov, Peevski is coming". This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Rumen Ovcharov from the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
"There are two parallel processes underway. One has been going on for several years now. It is the process of laundering GERB and Boyko Borisov and the MRF and mainly Delyan Peevski. This process still has some time to complete and for Delyan Peevski to appear before everyone's eyes, washed clean, in white and ready to take over the government of the country. In parallel with this, something is happening that has happened several times in all the structures in which Peevski was involved," he commented.
According to him, GERB has no ideology. "This is a clientelist party", Ovcharov believes, adding that to a large extent all parties have become clientelist.
"Obviously, the clientele is being redirected to the other clientelist party and to the new distributor of the portions - to "New Beginning" and to Delyan Peevski", he emphasized regarding the elections in Pazardzhik.
According to him, Borisov's defeat in Pazardzhik is too humiliating. I don't believe in long-term multi-move political combinations in Bulgaria, said the former MP.
"Political combinations are a maximum of two-move, with the second move being betrayal. Borisov is really furious".
He noted the rumors that the idea is for Borisov to return as prime minister. According to him, however, this will be his "Swan Song":
"The last step in laundering Peevski and in completing the scheme. Borisov can no longer get his clientele back. He left the state in Peevski's hands not only for these months during the government, Peevski is getting into local structures, mayors. And Carlos Nassar was brought in - can you imagine what kind of country we are. They humiliated a three-time world champion".
What is the profitable business for Peevski to accumulate this money, Ovcharov asked.
For him, the BSP is the most harmless. No matter what they tell it, they will keep quiet, tuck their tails and still agree, he expressed his opinion. According to him, they have no other chance than to stay in power:
"The BSP at the moment - the party elite is sitting at the table in front of empty bowls. Back then, they were empty and were waiting to enter the government to fill their bowls - the empty bowl syndrome. The second stage of this syndrome is already approaching - when those who are sitting at the table begin to look around and notice that some bowls are fuller, others are emptier, and still others are completely empty. In a few months, the third stage will come - the dissatisfaction of the hungry. This stage has not yet come".
There is no way that the BSP alone can bear the humiliation of any changes in the government, believes Rumen Ovcharov, and added that removing Natalia Kiselova from the post of Speaker of the National Assembly would be too humiliating even for the BSP. According to him, then the discontent in the party could get out of control.
"All this is a circus and tension that Peevski and Borisov are creating in order to take the next step in laundering both of them", he was categorical.
Ovcharov did not rule out the possibility that Peevski could be the next prime minister:
"We must be ready. We will have to drink our cup to the bottom".
In his words, this may overflow the cup of popular discontent, but it will not be immediately. In this regard, he sees no prerequisites for great social tension.
The judicial system may stop Peevski on his way to real executive power, but it is in his hands, Ovcharov commented.
According to him, the president is part of the Borisov - Peevski - Radev group. His talk has nothing to do with his real actions, he explained and emphasized that the president is convenient for both of them: "They are just playing with each other and maintaining their reputation".
We chose him as an alternative to GERB, Rumen Ovcharov reminded and expressed disappointment:
"I am disappointed that he has deprived the alternative in Bulgaria of any possibility of realization. He did everything possible to kill the alternative, and that was the BSP".
